Winds between France and the Americas, in real time

Every streak is a particle carried by the current wind. Our skippers read these systems — trade winds, lows, the Azores high — to pick the departure window of every crossing.

Frequently asked questions

What is a boat delivery?

Moving your boat by water from one port to another with a professional skipper at the helm. You don’t need to be on board: the skipper handles navigation, locks, weather and stopovers.

Is Boatway a delivery skipper?

Boatway is a matchmaking agency: we select, vet and coordinate qualified independent skippers (licences, insurance, experience). You contract with the skipper; we follow the job from quote to handover.

Is my boat insured during the delivery?

Your policy must cover navigation by a professional skipper (delivery clause). Our skippers carry professional liability insurance. We check these points with you before departure.

How much notice do you need?

Usually 1 to 3 weeks for a coastal or inland trip, and 1 to 3 months for an Atlantic crossing to match the weather windows.
